AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
-
Wash your hands first before touching your tattoo.
-
Gently wash the tattoo with clean water and mild unscented soap once the bandage is removed.
-
Pat dry with a clean paper towel. Do not rub.
-
Apply a very thin layer of Aquaphor over the tattoo.
The tattoo should look slightly moisturized, not shiny or greasy. -
Use Aquaphor 2–3 times per day for the first few days, or whenever the tattoo feels dry.
-
Do not over-apply. Too much Aquaphor can clog the skin and slow healing.
-
Do not scratch, pick, or peel the tattoo while it heals.
-
Avoid soaking the tattoo in baths, pools, hot tubs, lakes, or oceans until fully healed.
-
Avoid direct sunlight on the tattoo while it is healing.
-
Wear loose clothing over the tattoo to prevent rubbing and irritation.
Important
Use Aquaphor only in a thin layer. If the tattoo becomes overly wet, sticky, irritated, or develops bumps, reduce the amount you’re using.
Healing usually takes 2–4 weeks, depending on the tattoo size, placement, and skin type.
